About

KETT is Ajuokse’s community gallery which opened its doors in Aparaaditehas, Tartu in April of 2025. The space features two distinct areas - a shop area up front, where we represent the Nordic-Baltic alternative artists, and a separate gallery room in the back with a year round exhibition program.

Our mission is to highlight alternative artists and offer them an opportunity to showcase their artwork. We felt that Estonia lacked a gallery with a so-called alternative direction that would represent street artists, comic artists, lowbrow artists, illustrators etc.

The name KETT comes from the Estonian word for "chain," inspired by the Baltic Chain. This name originated from an inside joke among our friend group of Baltic street artists about working together to re-create the Baltic chain. We felt this was the perfect name for our gallery since our main goal is to create connections and bring artists together - essentially forming our own chain of creative collaboration.

In addition to supporting visual arts, we also organize various events at the gallery: concerts, meetups, workshops, experimental performances etc. We are open to different ideas - contact us at kettgallery@gmail.com!
