ajuokse
ajuokse (est. 2019) is a community of alternative creatives. the community's purpose is to uplift one another and create opportunities to showcase the artists' work. we primarily represent artists from Estonia and the Baltic countries but have also collaborated with artists from Finland, Ukraine, Germany, Italy and beyond.
our community includes artists whose work is not often seen in traditional gallery spaces: street artists, tattoo artists, lowbrow artists, naivists, illustrators, and many others. as part of our activities we organize exhibitions, art residencies, concerts, art markets, interdisciplinary festivals, and publish prints, zines, t-shirts etc.

in the summer of 2021, we opened an experimental creative space in Tartu called Ajuokse Avant-Garage (Ajuokse Avangaar), which we use as a studio space and also for experimenting with different events. notable events held at Avant-Garde include the experimental music festival Mäo Rist (2022) organized by Erik Alalooga, the performance/residency showing by Nele Tiidelepp titled "siin on võimalik midagi öelda siin on võimalik midagi teha" (2021) and the Flash Day of Fortune event series (alates 2020) by Crust-Ø tattoo studio.
since the autumn of 2021, we also have a space in the Aparaaditehas complex called Ajuokse Underground Shop and Gallery. in March 2023, we opened the WALLS¹ exhibition in the UG gallery, where street artists Zahars Ze, GUTFACE, looja, Stina Leek and k2rte created works on the walls.
in 2025 we moved out of the basement spaces to open our own gallery - KETT.
every year we organise two alternative art markets in collaboration with Aparaaditehas: one in the summer near the Ajuokse Avant-Garage, the other in the winter in our UG spaces.
